Trump Reportedly Asked World Leaders To Call Him On His Cellphone

President Donald Trump has reportedly been encouraging other world leaders to call him on his cellphone instead of on a more secure line.

Anonymous sources told the AP Trump has given his private cellphone number to leaders from Mexico, Canada and France.

But so far, only Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has reportedly used that number.

Experts say Trump's move here is definitely unusual. And it could also pose a security risk.

Presidents typically make phone calls on a highly secure line, like those in the Oval Office and the White House Situation Room.

And even if Trump uses his government-issued cellphone, national security experts say the risk of eavesdropping is still high.

One former Secret Service employee told CNET: "You can't make a phone call, because it's too easy to be intercepted. I can scare you with how easy it is."

The White House has yet to comment on the report.
