BERTHOUD, Colo. -- A grass fire burned two outbuildings in Berthoud on Monday morning.

The fire on Sundown Court destroyed one building and heavily damaged a second building, according to the Berthoud Fire Protection District.

The fire burned about two miles east of Highway 287 and just north of County Road 6.

Officials have not released the cause of the fire.

The National Weather Service issued a red flag warning for much of the Front Range on Monday because of high winds and above average temperatures.
