GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -- ABC News will focus a special report Friday on the murder of a Colorado a soccer mother of three who was secretly running an escort service.

MORE: A judge declared a mistrial in the case Friday after a hung jury.

Paige Birgfeld disappeared in June 2007 on the Western Slope. Her car was found burning on July 1, 2007, in a parking lot in Grand Junction. But her skeletal remains weren't found until five years later.

Lester Ralph Jones was arrested in December 2014.

He was charged with murder and kidnapping. He pleaded not guilty.

After a trial over the past several weeks, the jury in the case spent a fifth day deliberating Friday.

Police said Jones was a client of Birgfeld's escort service, Models Inc.

While Jones denied recognizing Birgfeld, investigators said Jones' phone records showed he called Birgfeld eight times during June and early July of 2007, according to the affidavit. They also found 27 other calls to numbers associated with adult massage services.

The special investigative report on 20/20 will include interviews with Paige’s family, friends and members of law enforcement along with the interrogation tapes that helped lead to Jones’ arrest, ABC said.
