DENVER – A 13-year-old boy who was diagnosed with a rare malignant brain tumor two years ago,

Two years ago, Trevor Kling was diagnosed with Anaplastic Astrocytoma, a cancer of the brain.

Even after 14 months of chemotherapy and 34 radiation treatments, Kling has only missed one day of school and still manages to hold his 3.87 GPA. He’s also active in baseball and bowling.

But his dream has always been to become a police officer and on Wednesday, that wish was granted.

Approximately 100 people showed up to the Lakewood Police Department training room on Wednesday morning to witness Kling get sworn in as an honorary police agent.
