Colorado transportation officials have unveiled plans for a bus system that will shuttle skiers and snowboarders from Denver to three resorts.

Gov. Jared Polis said Wednesday that the so-called SnowStang buses will help ease traffic congestion on Interstate 70 that has been exacerbated by a recent population boom.

The buses will start running Dec. 14 and serve Loveland Ski Area, Arapahoe Basin and Steamboat . Buses will operate on weekends throughout the winter and on the Martin Luther King Jr. and Presidents Day holidays.
