DENVER — Could you live on $15 a day for three days? That is what some Colorado leaders are doing as they show support for Amendment 70, which will raise the minimum wage.

Wednesday was day two for Denver City Council Member Robin Kniech. She says budgeting for food is difficult. Kniech said she has all but eliminated fresh food from her diet.

Kneich said she is already “cheating,” because she isn’t even factoring in housing or childcare.

Amendment 70 would increase the minimum each year until it reaches $12 an hour in 2020.
