DENVER (AP) -- About 20 volunteers at a Donald Trump campaign office in Denver escaped injury Friday night when a large rock was thrown through a window.

Authorities say Michael Ferrara, 33, was captured by an armed security officer and a volunteer. Denver police say Ferrara is being held on suspicion of criminal mischief.

Denver campaign co-chair Steve Barlock says the rock left a melon-sized hole in the window. He says a 10-year-old child just missed getting hit by the rock.

Earlier in the day, someone painted graffiti on the same building. The graffiti had Trump's name with three other words -- pervert, thief and a-- wipe. No arrests have been made in that case.

Trump has a campaign rally in Denver on Saturday night.

The graffiti and rock-throwing follows the firebombing of a Republican office in North Carolina last month.
