DENVER (AP) — Democratic U.S. Senate candidate John Hickenlooper was a no-show for a Colorado Independent Ethics Commission hearing.
Hickenlooper's failure to appear Thursday was in defiance of a commission subpoena and a court order.
Attorney Mark Grueskin representing Hickenlooper logged onto the remote hearing 15 minutes after it started.
Hickenlooper denies the accusations and says his right to confront his accusers would be violated in a remote hearing.
He faces a June 30 Democratic primary against former Colorado House Speaker Andrew Romanoff.
