DENVER – John Hickenlooper, the former Democratic Colorado governor and 2020 presidential candidate, will get one of the largest platforms of his young presidential campaign Wednesday night when he participates in a CNN town hall meeting in Atlanta.

Hickenlooper’s town hall, which will be moderated by Dana Bash, will be the networks ninth so far this year.

In an email sent to supporters, Hickenlooper’s campaign manager Brad Komar wrote that Hickenlooper would “answer questions about his vision for our country and the better future we can create together once we get beyond our crisis of division.”

Hickenlooper’s campaign team is pushing supporters to town hall watch parties happening in various cities across the state and country.

Hickenlooper announced his campaign at the beginning of March and hosted a kick-off event at Civic Center Park in Denver. He has spent time in Iowa and New Hampshire – two early primary and caucus states – and went on another two-day Iowa tour last weekend. His campaign said Hickenlooper had raised $1 million in the first 48 hours after he announced his campaign.

Hickenlooper will be back in New Hampshire and Vermont this weekend for meet-and-greets in Concord, Lebanon, Burlington and Littleton, among others.

Ahead of his town hall Wednesday, CNN published an op-ed from Hickenlooper titled “What I’d do for America’s workers” in which he outlines his business and government background and discusses what he would do economically for the middle class.

“The traditional definition of a job is shifting; we need to ensure that everyone has the same access to opportunities that will expand our current talent ecosystem and grow the mighty middle of our economy now and in the future,” Hickenlooper wrote.

The town hall is set to begin at 8 p.m. MT Wednesday on CNN.
