DENVER -- It took a week of counting in a close race, but Denver voters gave the okay to a sales tax increase that will help send more students to college on scholarships.

Under the plan, organizations that offer assistance to Denver students will be able to apply for reimbursements from the sales tax fund for some of the scholarship money, giving them more money for more students.

On this Sunday's Politics Unplugged, Lorii Rabinowitz of the Denver Scholarship Foundation sits down with Anne Trujillo to talk about how her organization and others will put the additional funding to use.

Politics Unplugged airs Sundays at 4:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Denver7 and noon on K3-KCDO.
