DENVER -- The Denver City Council and Denver mayor's office are both looking at new workplace rules for handling claims of sexual harassment or other forms of misconduct by city leaders and staff. The plan put forward by Mayor Michael Hancock's office calls for an outside investigation to investigate such claims.

The policies have been created in the wake of a Contact7 investigation that looked into texts sent from Mayor Hancock to Detective Leslie Branch Wise when she was a member of his security detail.

On this weekend's Politics Unplugged , Branch Wise talks to Tony Kovaleski about how it feels to see change happen after so much time.

Politics Unplugged airs Sundays at 4:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Denver7 and noon on K3-KCDO.
