DENVER -- Colorado will not be a flyover state for Donald Trump.

That’s according to Trump Colorado co-chair Robert Blaha, who told Anne Trujillo on this week’s Politics Unplugged that he doesn’t expect any backlash from the nation’s 45th president against the state’s like Colorado that he did not win.

“If anything there has been great gratitude for the people that did great work here,” Blaha said. “Politics is a funny game and I think what we’ve seen is Trump has won, Trump has stepped up, he has taken a leadership position.  He’s surrounding himself with a bunch of really smart people and I think we’re going to see some big things from this administration very soon.”

When asked what Trump is going to do to bring those who did not support him during the election into the fold, Blaha said he’s going to be very inclusive.

“One of his major pushes in the last few days has been to talk about energy,” Blaha said. “He’s going to put miners back to work. He’s going to be very involved in shale. All of those things are good for Colorado.”
