Millions of dollars are being spent this summer to repair Colorado's roads.
One of the biggest projects to get started will be the reconstruction of Highway 34 through the Big Thompson Canyon.
The first part of the project will involve some rock blasting in the horseshoe area of the canyon, near milepost 78.4.

In the metro area, drivers will have to deal with the demolition and reconstruction of the I-25 bridge over Arapahoe Road.
Those projects are in addition to the dozens of smaller construction projects that the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has going on across Colorado.
CDOT executive director Shailen Bhatt joined Anne Trujillo and Marshall Zelinger on this week's Politics Unplugged to discuss what's going on.
Bhatt told the hosts that much of the work will be done on days and weeks where traffic impact will be minimized.
He also told them that traffic on I-25 is at capacity.
