Police: Greeley Teacher Had Student's Child

Rhonda Eisenberg Admitted Sexual Relationship With Student

A longtime Greeley Spanish teacher was arrested Tuesday after police said she admitted to a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student.

Rhonda Eisenberg, 44, also admitted to police she had a child from the relationship two years ago, the Greeley Tribune reported.

Eisenberg had taught Spanish in the Greeley-Evans School District 6 since 1991.

Police said she had guardianship over the boy at the time of the alleged sexual assaults. The boy's parents live in Mexico, the Tribune reported. He is now 19.

Eisenberg has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the criminal investigation. The newspaper reported that notifications about the teacher's arrest will be sent out to parents and staff, urging them to call Greeley police if they have any continued concerns.
