THORNTON, Colo. – A new King Soopers grocery store is under construction in Thornton’s Amber Creek community near Quebec Street and 136th Avenue.

The store will be a part of a multi-tenant development that includes the grocery store, a gas station, and space for other retailers.

The development will also include 500 parking spaces.

Construction on the 22 acres of land where the development is located is expected to continue over the next couple of months.

According to the City of Thornton, the estimated opening date for the new King Soopers story is the fall of 2021.
