BROOMFIELD, Colo. — The City and County of Broomfield is building a new service center on 144th Avenue near Lowell Boulevard.

According to the planning division, 12.2 acres of land will house three buildings for administration, fleet maintenance and heated vehicle storage.

An additional 4.2 acres has been set aside for a storm water detention pond.

The new service center is scheduled to open in April 2020.

There are two other construction projects happening in the area: a preschool also located near the corner of 144th Avenue and Lowell Boulevard is under construction and a road widening project is underway.
