KEYSTONE, Colo. – Don’t put your skis and boards away just yet, Colorado! As much of the Front Range struggles with a late-season snow storm, the folks over at Arapahoe Basin are jumping for joy as they get smothered in heavy snow.

The ski area just south of Loveland Pass is the only one in Colorado that is still open for the year, and is hoping to reap the benefits of staying open so late.
A-Basin woke up to 9 inches of new snow Thursday morning, and another 10 inches had fallen by 4:30 p.m., with more expected into Friday.
It reopened its Pallavicini Lift and trails for the weekend amid the heavy snow, and still is scheduled to stay open seven days a week through Sunday, June 4.
Arapahoe Basin says it expects to be crowded this weekend, and suggests that people arrive early and carpool to ensure they have somewhere to park. Loveland Pass has been closed for most of Thursday, so anyone coming from Denver will have to go through the tunnel and through Dillon.
And to all the diehards hoping everyone forgot A-Basin was still open and that they’d have fresh tracks to themselves—we apologize.
