JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. – The service and dedication that Colorado law enforcement agents show every day largely goes unnoticed, but one anonymous letter writer didn’t let this year pass without letting Jefferson County's “family of blue” know they make a difference.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office shared the letter to its followers on Facebook Monday. The author lists the reasons why they are thankful for JeffCo’s finest.
The letter thanks deputies for professionally handling “messy” domestic situations, being there for the "heartbreak of a teen suicide," and for being brave. The anonymous writer even thanks the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office for the many thousands of tickets it issues, “That remind us of things we need reminding of,” the letter reads.

The author tells deputies that they "make a difference with your life every day of your life." The anonymous writer also included a gift card!

The Facebook post said the letter made the day for the deputies at the Jefferson County precinct at which it was received.
