AURORA, Colo. — One woman died after a head-on crash on E. Quincy Avenue Sunday afternoon.
Just before 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aurora police and Aurora Fire Rescue responded to a crash near E. Quincy Avenue and S. Harvest Street.
When they arrived, they saw two vehicles had crashed — a silver Nissan Titan and a black Ford F-150, according to the Aurora Police Department.
Police found an unconscious woman in the Nissan and two adults in the Ford. The latter two adults were able to get out of the truck with minor injuries, police said.
The woman who had been driving the Nissan had severe injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where she died.
Based on a preliminary investigation, it appeared that the woman had been driving west on Quincy Avenue and crossed the center line, colliding head-on with the Ford truck, which was traveling eastbound, according to police.
Police said it doesn’t appear that alcohol or speed was a factor in the crash.
This is an ongoing investigation and no other information was available Monday morning.
