AURORA, Colo. — A 28-year-old has been charged with first-degree murder after Aurora police investigated a stabbing Saturday evening.

The 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office identified the suspect as Erica Kentrell Lamar Daniel. The stabbing occurred around 9:30 p.m. Saturday on the 2300 block of N. Emporia Street. When police arrived at the scene, they found a man on the floor of an apartment, suffering from a stab wound to his chest. He was transported to a hospital, where he died.

He has since been identified as 32-year-old David Allen Cochran, according to the district attorney’s office.
