BOULDER, Colo. – Police announced Wednesday they had arrested a woman accused of hitting a cyclist with her car last month on a careless driving charge.

Jennifer LeMaire, 45, was arrested for investigation on careless driving resulting in bodily injury and vulnerable road user charges in connection with the Sept. 20 crash near Folsom Street and Bluff Street.

According to Boulder police, she was driving her Ranger Rover southbound on Folsom Street when she veered left and hit the cyclist, who was headed northbound on Folsom Street, “most likely in the bike lane,” police said.

Her vehicle then went over the east curb of Folsom Street, continued southbound and hit two parked vehicles, police said.

The cyclist was initially taken to Boulder Community Hospital then airlifted to Denver Health, where he remains hospitalized.
