DENVER – The Wellington E. Webb municipal building in Denver is closed Friday and is expected to remain closed through at least Sunday after the building’s power supply was damaged during maintenance Thursday.

Many city employees who work in the Webb building are working from home Friday due to the power outage. The city said it was working with Xcel Energy to find a solution to the damage and outage.

For the public, the city has put in place some remote locations for parking tickets and permitting on Friday.

Denver Public Works permitting for right-of-way permits, sewer usage and drainage permits, addressing and land use permits are available at the Wastewater Management Building (2000 W. 3rd Ave.).

People trying to contest a parking ticket can go to the county court clerk’s office in the City and County Building. And anyone needing to pay parking tickets or boot fees can do so in person at the Wastewater Management Building between 10 a.m. ad 5 p.m.

The building is expected to be closed through at least Sunday, though most city offices are closed Monday as well in observance of César Chávez Day.
