COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Vice President Mike Pence will be in Colorado Springs later this month to speak at a Focus on the Family event.
The vice president is scheduled to take part in the conservative organization’s 40th anniversary celebration June 23. The event is closed to the public.
Pence has been a supporter of the Focus on the Family through the years as the organization has often backed his politics during his time in office.
The often-controversial Focus on the Family was started in Colorado Springs by James Dobson in 1977. Since then, the organization has stayed active on social conservative issues.
