DENVER — Democracy and Doritos go hand in hand, so it’s not surprising the chips are being used to encourage students to register to vote.
As part of National Voter Registration Day, Doritos vending machines were set up at the University of Denver Tuesday.
The machines ask the user if they are registered to vote, and if they say no, the machine dispenses completely flavorless chips.
If the user is registered, they are treated to the crunchy, flavorful taste of freedom (in tortilla-chip form).
Doritos launched its Boldest Choice Campaign at the DU campus to help increase youth voting.
