FORT COLLINS, Colo. — New Belgium’s annual celebration of beer and bikes is returning for its 20th season this summer.

New Belgium Brewing Company’s Tour de Fat in Fort Collins is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 31. Unlike previous years, the 2019 celebration is free to attend, though beer is available for purchase.

The day consists of a morning bike parade — which runs from 10 a.m. to noon starting at W. Mountain Avenue and S. Howes Street — followed by festivities at the New Belgium brewery on Linden Street.

The Tour de Fat has raised almost $6 million for local bike nonprofits since it started. This year, the beneficiaries are Overland Mountain Bike Club, Bike Fort Collins, Ft. Collins Bike CO-OP and Ciclismo Youth Foundation.
