UPDATE (9:13 p.m.): Jacob Rivera was found and is safe, Thornton police say.
THORNTON, Colo. – Police were searching Tuesday evening for an 11-year-old boy who went missing sometime in the afternoon.
Thornton police said Jacob Rivera, 11, was last seen in the 13000 block of Harrison Drive. He was wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, red and black shoes and glasses when he was last seen.
Police said Rivera got angry after being confronted over his grades by his parents, and walked away from home. The department is asking anyone who has seen him to call 911 immediately.
