These Colorado ski resorts are offering steep discounts for the 2018-19 winter season

DENVER — Skiing in Colorado can get pricey. But there are ways to get steep discounts if you're a college student, a senior citizen or served in the military.

Here are what Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) member resorts are offering for  2018-19 winter season!

ARAPAHOE BASIN SKI AREA

Senior deals:
For skiers and riders above the age of 70, Arapahoe Basin offers a discounted Senior Pass for only $105. This pass gives seniors age 70+ unlimited, unrestricted skiing/riding at A-Basin for the entire 2018-19 season, plus additional discounts for friends and family. 

Arapahoe Basin also offers discounted daily lift tickets for seniors. Seniors (age 70+) can ski for only $40, while semi-seniors (age 60-69) can receive a varied discounted rate throughout the season.

Military Deals:
Brand new for the 2018-19 season, Arapahoe Basin is offering a discounted military pass that offers unlimited, unrestricted skiing and riding at A-Basin for only $99 for adults and $79 for children. This pass is valid for active, retired and veteran military members with valid ID.

Arapahoe Basin also offers a discount on daily and multi-day lift tickets for military members, with significant discounts available to active, veteran and retired members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families with valid ID

College Student Deals:
Arapahoe Basin offers the Elevation 4-Day Pass, valid any four days of the 2018-19 season with no restrictions or black-out dates. The Elevation Pass is currently $179, making it a good option for college students who aren’t ready to commit to a season pass but want to get a few days on the mountain at less than $45 per day.

ASPEN SNOWMASS

Senior deals:
Aspen Snowmass offers two season pass options for seniors. Those between the ages of 65 and 69 can purchase an Aspen Snowmass Premier pass for $1,839 through November 16, while Silver seniors (70+) can purchase a Premier pass for $514. Seniors age 65+ at Aspen Snowmass also receive a discount on daily and multi-day lift tickets, including a one-day lift ticket for $92.

Aspen Snowmass also partners with Bumps for Boomers, an innovative Aspen ski lesson program designed to teach intermediate-level Baby Boomer and senior skiers how to ski moguls and how to ski powder.

Military Deals:
Aspen Snowmass offers discounts on season passes and daily lift tickets for all retired veterans, active duty and honorably discharged military personnel of the United Stated Armed Services and their dependents. Veterans must present a valid military ID, discharge papers or proof of V.A. benefits at the ticket office to redeem.

Aspen Snowmass also offers several events and programs to honor military members, including Veteran’s Day discounts in November and Challenge Aspen Military Opportunities (CAMO), which provides adaptive therapeutic recreation and wellness experiences for military personnel diagnosed with cognitive and/or physical disabilities

College Student Deals:
College skiers and riders at Aspen Snowmass can purchase the College Premier Pass for $679. The Premier Pass includes unlimited skiing or riding plus more than $1,000 in benefits including discounted ticket vouchers for family and friends, discounts at other destinations and on lessons, rentals and dining. Students must be 24 years of age or younger through February 15, 2019 and enrolled in an accredited four-year college to purchase.

COOPER

Senior deals:
Cooper offers several tiers of season passes for older skiers and riders. Seniors age 60-69 can purchase a Cooper season pass for only $279 on sale, while Super Seniors (70-79) pay only $149 and Super Seniors+ over the age of 80 get a Cooper season pass completely free. 

There are also discounts on daily lift tickets for seniors. Seniors between the ages of 60 and 69 can ski at Cooper for $45, while Super Seniors (70-79) pay only $35.

Military Deals:
Cooper’s Military Season Pass offers unlimited skiing and riding at Cooper plus three bonus days at 37 partner resorts for $199 for military adults and $109 for children ages 6-14. Each pass holder must have a valid military ID at time of pick-up, and dependents 14 and under qualify with their parent’s military ID.

 Military skiers and riders at Cooper can also receive a discount on daily lift tickets, with military adults paying $45 and children $30 for a full day of skiing.

College Student Deals:
The Cooper XP Pass, which is only on sale in October and November, is a 4-day pass for only $129. The pass offers college students four days of skiing for less than $33 a day. 

COOPER MOUNTAIN

Senior deals:
At Copper Mountain, seniors over the age of 70 receive a considerable discount on a season pass. The Copper season pass is currently $389 for seniors, while the Copper Secret! Season pass with early access and a dedicated lift line is $589. Seniors 65+ also receive a discount on daily and multi-day lift tickets.

 For senior skiers and riders at Copper who’d like to explore the mountain with peers, Copper Mountain offers the Over the Hill Gang for skiers aged 50+. This group was formed in the early days of the resort and offers group clinics, lift priority access and friendship on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout the season.

Military Deals:
Copper Mountain is pleased to offer a discounted Military Pass for active duty, military retiree, national guard, reserve forces and their spouse/dependents with valid ID. Military adults can purchase a full unlimited season pass to Copper Mountain for $279, while military teens pay $249 and children $169.

College Student Deals:
Cooper Mountain offers discounted season passes for enrolled college students. The Copper Mountain College Season Pass is currently $389, while the College Secret! Pass with early access and a dedicated lift is $589. Verification of full-time enrollment is required.

ECHO MOUNTAIN RESORT

Senior deals:
Echo Mountain’s Senior season pass, available for those above the age of 64, is $229 for the 2018-19 season. 

Military Deals:
Echo offers active duty military and service members a discounted season pass for $149 for the 2018-19 season. Military members must present active military ID when picking up the pass. 

College Student Deals:
Echo Mountain offers a discounted College Season Pass for $229 for students who present an active student ID or recent transcript at time of pass pick up. Echo also offers a 3-Day Pass for $129, a great option for college students with limited time in their busy schedules.

ELDORA

Senior deals:
For skiers and riders ages 70+ at Eldora, a season pass costs only $369 for unlimited skiing and riding. Eldora also offers seniors over the age of 65 a discount on daily lift tickets.

Military Deals:
Eldora offers a 20 percent discount off the current price of an adult pass for active duty military personnel. These passes can be purchased over the phone or in person only.

Eldora also provides a discount on daily lift tickets, with active duty military members paying only $69 during peak season and $59 non-peak for a full day of skiing and riding. 

College Student Deals:
Eldora offers two season passes for college students. The College Full Pass is currently $369 and offers unlimited skiing and riding, while the College Midweek Pass for skiing Monday-Friday is $249. Students must attend full-time, be under age of 26 at the time of purchase and must present current class schedule, valid college ID, and government issued ID for verification when the pass is printed.

GRANBY RANCH

Senior deals:
Granby Ranch offers multiple discounts for senior skiers and riders. Seniors between the ages of 61 and 69 can buy a season pass for the 2018-19 season for $259, while Golden Seniors (age 70+) pay only $79. Granby Ranch also offers discounts for seniors on daily lift tickets, with rates varying throughout the season.

Military Deals:
Granby Ranch offers military members at 20 percent discount on daily lift tickets with a valid military ID.

College Student Deals:
Granby Ranch offers college students a discount deal called the Hooky Pass, good for 50 percent off a weekday lift ticket Monday-Thursday during the months of January and February. Another great option for college students at Granby Ranch is the 4-Pack, valid for four days of skiing or snowboarding January 7-March 31, 2019 for only $129.

HESPERUS SKI AREA

Senior deals:
Hesperus offers a variety of season pass products discounted for senior skiers. The Value Pass, which offers limited access to Hesperus with some black-out dates, costs only $89 for seniors age 60-69. Skiers 70+ ski free at Hesperus.

College Student Deals:
College students who ski and ride at Hesperus Ski Area can take advantage of the Young Adult Value Pass, valid for people between the ages 19 and 24, currently priced at $109.

KENDALL MOUNTAIN

Senior deals:
Senior skiers at Kendall Mountain over the age of 65 can receive a discount on the 2018-19 season pass and daily and multi-day lift tickets. 

College Student Deals:
Kendall Mountain’s daily lift ticket, only $25, offers college students a full day of skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, sledding, tubing and more.

LOVELAND SKI AREA

Senior deals:
Loveland Ski Area offers a $99 season pass for unlimited skiing and riding for seniors ages 70+. Skiers and riders age 60-69 can also take advantage of the daily lift ticket deals during the regular season.

Military Deals:
Loveland Ski Area honors military service through the Stars & Stripes Pass, a deeply discounted season pass offering to active and retired military personnel. The Stars & Stripes Pass is only available on select bases and requires a valid military ID.

Loveland also partners with Team Red, White & Blue to offer the Annual Eagles Over Loveland event in honor of military veterans.

College Student Deals:
Loveland Ski Area offers the Young Adult Season Pass, reserved for those between the ages of 15 and 22, for only $309. The pass also includes 96 days of skiing and riding at 32 partner mountains, plus additional on-mountain discounts and benefits.

MONARCH MOUNTAIN

Senior deals:
At Monarch Mountain, skiers between the ages of 62 and 68 can purchase a season pass for $339, while Super Seniors (69+) pay only $20 to ski all season. Monarch also offers a discount on daily lift tickets, with seniors ages 62-68 paying only $59 for a full-day lift ticket.

Military Deals:
Monarch Mountain offers a season pass for active duty, reserve, retired military and their dependents with a current and valid Military ID. The $199 military pass includes discounts and partner days at 36 additional resorts. 

Monarch also offers discounted rates on daily lift tickets for military members. Military adults pay $54 for a full day of skiing at Monarch, while teens ski for $44 and juniors $30. 

College Student Deals:
Monarch Mountain sells a discounted College Pass for only $289. It includes over 100 free and discounted days of skiing and riding at partner resorts, plus discounts on rentals, lessons and dining. Verification of enrollment is required.

POWDERHORN RESORT

Senior deals:
Senior skiers above the age of 75 at Powderhorn can purchase a Mission: Affordable season pass for unlimited skiing and riding in 2018-19 for only $139. Seniors 75+ can also receive a discount on daily lift tickets. 

Powderhorn also invites seniors ages 50+ to join the Young at Heart group every Thursday for small groups with intermediate skills to explore the mountain and build relationships.

Military Deals:
Powderhorn Resort offers members of the military a $10 discount on daily lift tickets. 

College Student Deals:
Powderhorn Resort offers two products for college students. The College Holiday Pass for $169 is valid from Opening Day to January 21, 2019, while the College Spring Pass for $269 is valid from January 21 to Closing Day. Prices will increase December 14. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits at any college as an undergrad, and 9 credits as a graduate.

PURGATORY RESORT

Senior deals:
Purgatory Resort offers two tiers of discounted season passes for seniors. Those between the ages of 65-79 can purchase a Power Pass, with unlimited access to six ski resorts plus partner days at several additional resorts, for $479. Super Seniors (80+) can purchase the Power Pass for only $109. 

Senior skiers and riders at Purgatory can also enjoy Boomers on Groomers, a 3-clinic series that meets every Wednesday in February for half-day clinics ages 60+. 

Military Deals:
Purgatory recognizes the service of active and retired military and their families with a 15 percent discount on lodging, lift tickets and ski and snowboard rentals. Military ID required.

College Student Deals:
Purgatory Resort’s Young Adult Pass offers those between the ages of 19 and 24 a discounted season pass for $429 until September 28.

STEAMBOAT

Senior deals:
Steamboat Resort offers a discount on single-day and multi-day lift tickets for seniors ages 70+, rates vary throughout the season.

Steamboat also offers Mountain Masters, a complimentary ski tour for skiers and riders 50 years of age and older on primarily blue and groomed black trails.

Military Deals:
Steamboat participates in the Ikon Pass, which offers a considerable discount for U.S. & Canadian Military members. The full Ikon Pass costs $819 for military, while the Ikon Base Pass costs $579. Verification is required. 

College Student Deals:
Steamboat’s Boat Launch Pass, a 3-Day pass for any three days between November 22 and December 16, is the perfect fit for students looking to take advantage of winter vacations.

The Boat Launch costs $149, offering skiers and riders skiing at less than $50 a day.

SUNLIGHT MOUNTAIN RESORT

Senior deals:
For senior skiers and riders at Sunlight Mountain Resort, senior (65-79) season passes are only $319 through October 31. Carefree Skiers ages 80 and older can ski at Sunlight for free. The Sunny Soaker season pass, which also includes unlimited hot springs soaking, is $409 for skiers 65+.

Sunlight also offers a discount on the daily lift ticket, with senior skiers paying $45 for a full day of skiing.

Military Deals:
Sunlight Mountain Resort offers active duty military with valid ID a season pass for only $319, good for unlimited skiing and riding at Sunlight plus more than 80 additional days of skiing at partner resorts.

Sunlight also offers a discount on daily lift tickets, with active duty and retired military and their dependents paying $45 for a full day of skiing or riding. 

College Student Deals:
College skiers and riders at Sunlight can take advantage of a discounted season pass, paying only $459 for unlimited access to Sunlight plus free days at partner resorts.

TELLURIDE SKI RESORT

Senior deals:
Telluride’s senior pass, offering unlimited skiing and riding for those between the ages of 65 and 79, costs $1,400 through October 12. The Palmyra Pass, for skiers 80+, grants free and unlimited access. Seniors above the age of 65 also receive a discount on daily and multi-day lift tickets, available online with prices varying throughout the season.

For Telluride skiers over the age of 50, the Silver Skier program offers the opportunity to explore the mountain and meet others who share the same passions over a 4-session clinic.

Military Deals:
At Telluride, credentialed military personnel and their household family can receive a Military Card, offering one lift ticket plus 30 percent off additional lift tickets, for $75. Telluride also partners with the Telluride Adaptive Sports Program to offer the Disabled Veterans Winter Adventure Week, an opportunity for free travel, lodging and program expenses to any U.S. Service member who has been disabled because of an incident occurring while serving in the U.S. military.

College Student Deals:
College students who plan to ski at Telluride can take advantage of the deeply discounted Young Adult Pass for those between the ages of 19 and 24. The Young Adult Pass at Telluride is $800 and includes discounts on dining and lessons.

Senior deals:
Winter Park Resort offers a discount on daily and multi-day lift tickets for seniors above the age of 70.

Military Deals:

WOLF CREEK SKI AREA

Senior deals:
Wolf Creek offers senior season pass for ages 65 and older for $430. Seniors can also purchase discounted lift tickets, with seniors ages 65 to 79 receiving a discount. Seniors age 80 or older are eligible for a free lift ticket. 

In addition, Wolf Creek’s new Forever Young Ski & Board Clinic is specifically designed for seniors interested in hitting the slopes at Wolf Creek. Skiers and boarders, ages 50 and older, can enroll in a discounted 2-hour morning lesson, instructed by a qualified senior instructor while skiing on a discounted full day lift ticket.

Military Deals:
Wolf Creek offers active duty military and their dependents with a valid ID a $50 ticket for adults and $27 for children. Wolf Creek will also kick off their holiday events with Veteran’s Weekend, honoring both active duty and retired military members and their dependents by offering a discounted lift ticket to thank them for their service.

College Student Deals:
Wolf Creek Ski Area offers college students a discounted ticket during College Days, which are scheduled throughout the ski season and offer students with a valid college photo ID and a current class schedule the opportunity to purchase a daily lift ticket for only $50.
