DENVER – Wedding season is underway, but before picking a venue and caterer, it’s important to find the perfect spot to pop the question.
When it comes to making the big announcement online, it turns out some locations are more popular than others.
Diamond company Brilliant Earth combed through thousands of Instagram posts to find out where people were posting their engagement photos the most and found that the most common locations in Denver were in or near downtown.
The site focused on Instagram posts using two hashtags: #SheSaidYes and #Engaged, since those two had the most photos. Brilliant Earth then narrowed in on posts during the holiday season – specifically Nov. 1, 2016 to Jan. 5, 2017 – since the site found that was the most popular time to get engaged.

Using those parameters, Brilliant Earth found the following five Denver locations were the most popular for making engagement announcements on Instagram:
5. Union Station
4. River North (RiNo) Arts District
3. Theatre District
2. Cherry Creek
1. State Capitol
Brilliant Earth also looked at which days of the week were most popular for engagements and found Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to be the most popular days.
