2. Fires continue in Colorado
Several wildfires continue to burn in Colorado. However, recent rainfall has helped firefighters battling some of the state’s biggest blazes. The largest fire, the Spring Fire, is over 107,000 acres in size.
3. Pres. Trump makes Supreme Court pick
President Donald Trump announced on Monday that federal Judge Brett Kavanaugh is his pick to replace Justice Anthony Kennedy on the US Supreme Court, a move that will likely solidify the bench's conservative tilt for many years to come.
4. FBI agent in court
Chase Bishop, the FBI agent accused of inadvertently shooting a bystander while dancing at a Denver bar will appear in court today for a preliminary hearing. Bishop is charged with second-degree assault.
5. Hot and dry Tuesday
Tuesday morning skies will start out sunny, although hazy from wildfire smoke. Temperatures will quickly rise and will climb to the low 90s in Denver by Noon. In the afternoon, high temperatures will again be in the mid-90s to around 100 degrees on the eastern plains.
