DENVER – A teenager was killed outside of a gas station in southwest Denver early Wednesday morning, police said.

The male victim's name has not been released yet. Police officers were investigating the incident about 3 a.m. near West Jewell Avenue and South Sheridan Boulevard, outside of a 7-Eleven gas station.

The officers were initially dispatched there on a report about an assault victim who was either shot or stabbed, police said. But it was still not confirmed later Wednesday how the victim was injured.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867).
