LOVELAND, Colo. — Loveland police are working to identify and find a suspect who reportedly grabbed a woman on a bike path.

On Sunday around 3:50 p.m., officers with the Loveland Police Department responded to N. Taft Avenue and W. 1st Street for a report of an unlawful sexual contact on a bike path.

A female told police she was walking on the bike path along the Big Thompson River between N. Taft Avenue and N. Wilson Avenue when a male approached her from behind and grabbed her. She said the male grabbed the outside of her clothing, but fled eastbound on a bike when another pedestrian approached on the pathway.

The suspect was wearing a mask, tan coat and beanie hat. He may have had red hair. He was carrying a backpack, police said.

Anyone who may have seen the suspect in the area of the bike path between 3 and 4 p.m. on Sunday, or has relevant information, is asked to call Det. Brad Templeman at 970-962-2290.
