RENT
For rent assistance, the Colorado Apartment Association has resources for renters on its website.
"We have two lists that total over 120 resources ranging from rental assistance, to day care, to food and utilities," said Destiny Bossert with the Colorado Apartment Association & Apartment Association of Metro Denver.
Bossert said they also partnered with the Resident Relief Foundation to raise more than $120,000 for rental assistance that's earmarked for Colorado residents.
UTILITY ASSISTANCE
Energy Outreach Colorado has two programs to help people struggling to pay utility bills.
L.E.A.P., the low-income energy assistance program, normally only helps with winter heating bills, but it's been extended to help people pay bills during the pandemic.
There's also Energy Outreach Colorado (EOC).
"(It's) for folks who don't qualify for L.E.A.P. — we can help those people with higher incomes," said Jennifer Gremmert, the executive director of Energy Outreach Colorado. "We partner with utilities all over state to improve energy efficiency of homes. The goal is to reduce your energy bills, make your home healthier and safety, especially with more of us home a lot more right now, so improvements are more important than ever."
