GOLDEN, Colo. — The U.S. Geological Survey received dozens of calls after two earthquakes near Glenwood Springs.

A 3.4 magnitude earthquake was recorded at 3:02 a.m. Tuesday about a mile northeast of town

Another 3.6 magnitude earthquake was recorded at 4:13 a.m. located about 4 miles northwest of town.

A seismologist on duty at the USGS offices in Golden told Denver7 there have been no reports of damage and no damage was anticipated given the size of the quakes.

The seismologist said these types of small quakes are typical for Colorado.
