EAGLE COUNTY, Colo. — Eagle County authorities located skeletal remains Saturday during a search for a missing Chinese tourist who has been missing near Vail since March, according to a news release from the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office.

The remains were located in the back bowls area of Vail Mountain, the sheriff’s office said.

The remains have yet to be positively identified. However, items found at the scene are consistent with those described by the family of 55-year-old Yunlong Chen, the release read.

Chen was visiting from China and was last seen around the Vail Transportation Center the morning on March 7. He was traveling alone and was at the end of his ski trip at the time he disappeared.

Authorities said they do not suspect foul play.
