DENVER — Development surrounding Coors Field in Denver may mean some big changes for a popular piece of art, and donor bricks.
The Evolution of the Ball sculpture serves as an entrance to Coors Field on Wynkoop Street. Some people in the community are worried the art and bricks may be destroyed to make way for new development.
Matt Sugar with the Denver Metropolitan Major League Baseball District said that is not the case, though — the statue will likely have to move to a new location.
He also confirmed that development will likely take the place of the walkway lined with bricks from donors. He said those bricks will also be relocated and not destroyed.
