IDAHO SPRINGS, Colo. – Crews with the Colorado Department of Transportation worked Wednesday morning to clear a rockslide and group of potholes that held up cars on both sides of the interstate.

CDOT had shut down one westbound lane at Fall River Road while crews encouraged motorists to avoid using Idaho Springs as an alternate route. The slide was cleared around 11:30 a.m. and all lanes reopened.

The group of potholes in eastbound lanes popped the tires of roughly a dozen cars. Drivers said the potholes weren't very noticeable, but were deep enough to damage their tires.

Crews got to work patching the holes after multiple complaints.

No injuries were reported.
