Reward increased for information about woman's death, burning car on I-225

AURORA, Colo. – The reward for information about a woman who was apparently killed inside a car that was then found engulfed in flames on I-225 early last Saturday morning has increased to up to $4,000.

The Aurora Police Reward Fund is matching Metro Denver Crime Stoppers’ $2,000 reward offer for information about the woman’s death and the car fire.

On Tuesday, the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office identified the woman found inside the car as 46-year-old Vicky Salvadora De Dios and said she was dead before the fire. The coroner’s office classified her death as a homicide.

The blue SUV was found burning on southbound I-225 just south of the on-ramp from Colfax Ave. around 1 a.m. Saturday They found Salvadora De Dios’ body inside the vehicle once the flames were extinguished.

Police are asking anyone who was driving in the area and saw the vehicle or any people near it to contact the case’s lead investigator, Detective Chad Lampson, at 303-739-6013 or Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
