Shortly after 2:30 p.m., Thursday, the Frederick-Firestone Fire District (FFFD) and Firestone Police Department (FPD) responded to a report of a house explosion along the 9700 block of Roadrunner Avenue in Firestone.
When crews arrived, they saw smoke around the home and started to search for a fire.
One male was transported with injuries, according to FFFD.
The garage door was blown out, but the rest of the house appeared to be standing.
According to an early investigation, the incident didn't seem to involve gas or oil, according to FFFD.
FFFD completed its investigation Friday morning and determined that the cause of the fire, while undetermined, was accidental in nature.
There was a fatal house explosion in Firestone in 2017, which was likely caused by a leaking non-odorous gas over the span of several months.
This case remains under investigation.
