Report: Denver was the #2 destination for people who moved in 2018

DENVER — Denver was the second most popular destination for people who relocated last year, according to a new report.

The website HireAHelper.com, which helps people find moving help, analyzed more than 30,000 moves booked through its site and identified Chicago as the top destination. Denver came in second and Colorado Springs ranked sixth.

Denver and Colorado Springs also were top cities that people moved away from — Denver came in third on that list and Colorado Springs landed in ninth place.

Here are the top 10 destinations for movers in 2018, according to HireAHelper:

  2. Denver, CO
  3. Atlanta, GA
  4. Charlotte, NC
  5. Houston, TX
  6. Colorado Springs, CO
  7. Las Vegas, NV
  8. Austin, TX
  9. San Diego, CA
  10. Portland, OR

Colorado as a whole was popular for movers last year. HireAHelper said the Centennial State was the sixth most popular destination overall with 4.56 percent of all moves destined for Colorado. Florida was in first place, followed by California and Texas.
