ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — Investigators have concluded that two Englewood police officers were justified in shooting and wounding a woman driving a stolen car in January.

The Arapahoe County District Attorney's Office says in a Tuesday report that the officers feared for their lives when the woman drove at them in a parking garage on Jan. 16.

Investigators say 26-year-old Chayley Tolin ignored orders to stop before the shots were fired.

It says she was wounded twice in the torso, treated for her wounds and released into police custody.

The garage is located next to Swedish Medical Center.

Tolin is charged with attempted murder of a police officer, felony menacing and auto theft. Arraignment is set for Aug. 2.

She's being represented by the public defender's office, which doesn't comment on ongoing cases.
