A registered sex offender was arrested in Grand Junction after following a group of children into an apartment.
Officers were dispatched to a call of a suspicious man watching children at a playground Saturday afternoon.
Michael Raymond Graham, 45, asked some children for a drink of water and followed the children into an apartment, according to the Grand Junction Police Department.
Once he got inside, an adult confronted the man and he left the apartment.
Graham was located and taken into custody on charges of trespass and harassment.
Once at the jail, Graham admitted to watching the children and having thoughts about touching the children in a sexual manner, police said. Graham, who is a registered sex offender, also admitted to fantasizing about one of the children, specifically.
Graham’s charges were amended to burglary and three counts of enticement of a child.
