PUEBLO WEST, Colo. – A 47-year-old man was killed Thursday evening after he was hit by two SUVs while walking on Highway 50.
Colorado State Patrol says the man was crossing the highway just west of Purcell Boulevard around 8:45 p.m. when he was hit by a side mirror of a GMC Yukon.
He continued to walk southeast along the highway, picking up grocery items, when he was again struck by a Chevy Suburban while walking in a turning lane.
He was dragged about 90 feet by the Suburban before it could stop.
The man, whose identity has not been released pending the notification of his next-of-kin, was first transported to Parkview West Hospital, then to Parkview in Pueblo, where he died.
