FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) — Prosecutors say a man will not face charges for the death of another man following a road rage encounter in northern Colorado.

Larimer County District Attorney Clifford Riedel says in a written decision that 27-year-old Marcus Bosch was defending himself when he put 43-year-old Jason Wheeler in a rear choke hold during a roadside argument on Feb. 8 in Loveland.

The fight stemmed from a disagreement between Bosch and Wheeler's father over one another's driving.

Both men pulled over. Investigators say Jason Wheeler got out of his father's car, poured oil on Bosch's car, threatened him and punched him in the face.

Bosch told police that he put Wheeler into a choke hold. An autopsy found Wheeler died of asphyxiation.

Authorities said Bosch cooperated with the investigation into Wheeler's death.
