Police searching for driver in Denver hit-and-run that critically injured bicyclist

DENVER – Police are searching for the driver of a car that struck a bicyclist in a hit-and-run in Denver on Saturday night.

The collision happened about 7:20 p.m. at West Evans Avenue and South Clay Street. The vehicle hit the bicyclist and then continued eastbound without stopping, police said. The bicyclist was in critical condition.

Police said the vehicle was possibly a Toyota or Lexus sedan, with damage to the front and passenger sides and a missing mirror on the passenger side.
