DENVER – Fort Collins police are looking for help identifying two people believed to have hit two pedestrians Tuesday morning with a stolen car who then fled the scene.

Around 11 a.m. Tuesday, a 1993 blue Honda Civic was turning west onto Mulberry Street from northbound I-25 and hit two pedestrians who were walking on the north shoulder of the overpass, police said.

The car fled the scene, and witnesses told police there were two people inside. The car was found abandoned in the 1700 block of Kirkwood Drive – about 4 miles away – and discovered it had previously been reported stolen.

The two pedestrians were hospitalized with serious injuries. Police diverted traffic in the area for about three hours on Tuesday.

Police are asking anyone with information about the crash or possible suspects to contact Officer Ken Koski at 970-416-2229.
