LAKEWOOD, Colo. — A man was shot and killed late Monday night in Lakewood.
The Lakewood Police Department said officers were called to a report of a shooting just before 11 p.m. at a unit in a residence along the 8100 block of W. 12th Avenue.
When they arrived, they found a man with gunshot wounds. He was near the entrance to his home, police said. Police learned that his family had called 911 after finding him outside the home.
The man was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. He was identified as 64-year-old Robert Gene Steige of Lakewood.
Lakewood police said they don't have a description of the suspect or any other information on this case.
