FORT COLLINS -
Fort Collins police have arrested a 23-year-old woman in the stabbing death of her fiancé on Friday night.
Police said they arrested Nicole Marie Ryan on suspicion of second-degree murder at the home she shared with the victim in the 400 block of North Meldrum Street.
Ryan called 911 at about 11:25 p.m., reporting that she had injured her "husband" during an argument, according to police. When officers arrived, they found a man in his 30s with a severe knife wound to his neck.
Police said the victim died on the way to the hospital. His identity has not been released.
Ryan was booked into the Larimer County Jail on the murder charge and domestic violence charges, police said.
No one else was in the home at the time of the incident and police do not believe any other persons were involved.
The case remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call Detective Keith Maynard at 970-221-6540.
