LAKEWOOD, Colo. – Police on Monday identified the woman who was shot and killed last Friday night at the Blue Sky Motel and identified the main suspect in the shooting.

Police said Brittany Guerin, 32, was shot and killed at the West Colfax motel just after 9:30 p.m. last Friday. She was taken to an area hospital after she was shot, where she was pronounced dead.

Police said witnesses told them they had seen three black men and one white man running from the scene after the shooting, including one man who had a gun in his hand.

On Monday, Lakewood police said the suspect seen with a gun in his hand is Asha “Ace” Thompson, 32. Police said he is wanted as of Monday afternoon for investigation on a first-degree murder charge.

Police said he was last seen wearing a black hoodie or jack, a black hat and camouflage pants.

Anyone who sees Thompson is asked to call 911 immediately and not to approach him because he is considered armed and dangerous.

Lakewood police ask anyone with information about Guerin’s murder to call them at 303-763-6800.
