LAKEWOOD, Colo. – Police have identified a man who was shot and killed outside a hotel in Lakewood early Monday.

Officers found Guadalupe Julian De La Rosa, 32, lying in the parking lot of the Crossland Denver extended-stay hotel on Kipling Street around 12:30 a.m. after receiving reports of gunshots.

Efforts to revive De La Rosa were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said they located a second man suffering from gunshot wounds at a home in Denver. He was taken to an area hospital, where he continues to undergo treatment.

Investigators believe both men were involved in an altercation that resulted in them being shot at the hotel. Officers didn’t provide any further details but said no arrests have been made and there doesn’t appear to be any threat to the public.

Anyone with information on this case should contact Lakewood police at 303-987-7111.
