Police: Couple stole little girl's iPod in Aurora

Police ask for help in identifying man and woman

AURORA, Colo. - The Aurora Police Department  is asking for help from the public in locating two people that stole a little girl's iPod.

Last Friday, the 5-year-old victim was with her family attending a birthday party the Menchies at Gardens on Havana, at 10601 East Garden Drive.

The victim left her iPod on a table inside of the store. While she was in another area of the store a couple (who is seen in the video) sat down at the table where the iPod was left. After several minutes they eventually grab the iPod, place it into a purse and then quickly walk out of the store. The iPod touch was pink in color but had a panda bear case over it.

The suspects photographed by surveillance cameras are described as:

Suspect #1 is a male approximately 25 to 35 years of age, 5-feet 8-inches tall, weighing approximately 200 pounds. He was wearing a tan hat with an unknown logo, green t-shirt with white lettering which said "AERO NYC",  tan shorts and black sandals.

Suspect #2 is a female approximately 20 to 25 year of age, 5-feet 6-inches tall with a heavy build. She has brown hair and some type of lettering tattooed behind her neck. She also had a tattoo on her right upper shoulder. She was wearing a pink tank top, blue jean Capri pants, and a pair of flip flops. She was carrying a large green purse.

Anyone who might be able to identify the suspects is asked to contact Officer Jeremy Jenkins with the District 1 PAR Unit at jjjenkin@auroragov.org or Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP. Tipsters can remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
